{"id":594,"date":"2021-03-01T06:58:25","date_gmt":"2021-03-01T00:58:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/financialherald.net\/?p=594"},"modified":"2021-03-01T06:58:25","modified_gmt":"2021-03-01T00:58:25","slug":"bangladeshi-travellers-to-enjoy-first-class-suites-courtesy-of-emirates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/financialherald.net\/?p=594","title":{"rendered":"Bangladeshi travellers to enjoy first class suites, courtesy of Emirates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Passengers can enjoy a fully flat bed, personal electrically controlled mini-bar, electrically operated privacy dividers and a wide-screen 32\u201d HD LCD screen in their private suite<\/p>\n<p>Bangladeshi flyers can now rejoice, as they will be able to experience first-class suites as Emirates intends on launching the service on its wide-body Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, starting from March 1.<\/p>\n<p>Passengers can enjoy a fully flat bed, personal electrically controlled mini-bar, electrically operated privacy dividers and a wide-screen 32\u201d HD LCD screen in their private suite.<\/p>\n<p>They can also enjoy regionally-inspired gourmet meals and more than 4,500 channels of visual and audio entertainment on the airline\u2019s award-winning ice system.<\/p>\n<p>They can also enjoy the luxury of the first class lounge at Dubai airport and complimentary chauffeur-driven airport transfers, amongst many other privileges. The airline is currently the only international carrier to offer such a service currently, as stated in a press release they issued on the day. The aircraft will have a three-class cabin configuration, offering six private seats in first-class suites. A round trip on the Emirates first class will cost passengers more than Tk 3 lakh, 6-7 times more than the usual airfare. The Boeing aircraft will also have 41 passengers seats in business class and 213 spacious seats in economy class.<\/p>\n<p>The Dhaka-Dubai EK-585 will leave the Bangladeshi capital at 1:00 am and arrive at 4:25 am Dubai time, while the return flight EK-584 will depart Dubai at 3:45 pm and land in Dhaka at 11:00 pm local time.<\/p>\n<p>The introduction of a first-class suite is a first in Bangladesh, although British Airways and Singapore Airlines had both introduced first-class services earlier, but was forced to shut it down later due to low demand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no first-class suites service in Bangladesh from Biman Bangladesh Airlines. We only have business and economy classes,\u201d said Tahera Khandaker, deputy general manager (media) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot say that passengers do not ask about first-class tickets, as it is costly and luxurious. But currently, in Bangladesh there are no first-class services,\u201d said Aminul Islam, director of Ether Travels and Tours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If Emirates begins to offer the first-class suite service, we hope the demand from the elite class people will be met,&#8221; he added.
