A case has been filed against 300 people, including 47 leaders and activists of BNP and Chhatra Dal, over Sunday’s clash with police near the National Press Club.<\/p>\n
Police filed the case with Shahbagh police station early Monday, Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Mamun-or-Rashid told reporters.<\/p>\n
However, he did not mention the names of the accused BNP and Chhatra Dal men. Besides, around 250 unnamed people have been made accused in the case.<\/p>\n
So far, 12 people have been shown arrested in the case.<\/p>\n
Attempt to murder, attack, and vandalism charges have been brought against the accused, said the OC adding that the arrested accused would be produced before the court.<\/p>\n

Chhatra Dal, BNP leaders and activists started gathering in the Press Club area from 10 am. The trouble began around 11am, when police reportedly obstructed them from holding a rally demanding an investigation into writer Mushtaq Ahmed\u2019s death in custody and the abolition of the Digital Security Act.<\/p>\n
