President M Abdul Hamid yesterday called upon all irrespective of party affiliations to contribute from their respective positions in implementing the \u2018Vision-2021\u2019 and \u2018Vision-2041\u2019 undertaken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to make Bangladesh a prosperous country.<\/p>\n
\u201cI urge all to continue their efforts to materialize dreams of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to turn Bangladesh into a \u2018Sonar Bangla\u2019,\u201d the President said in a message on the eve of the historic March 7.<\/p>\n
Noting that Bangabandhu\u2019s lifetime dream was to turn the independent-sovereign Bangladesh into a prosperous \u2018Golden Bangla\u2019, he added: \u201cWe must continue our efforts to fulfill that dream of our great leader.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the occasion of Bangabandhu\u2019s birth centenary and the golden jubilee of independence, President Hamid said Bangabandhu\u2019s March 7 speech was one of the most celebrated speeches in the world, which was a great efficacious message to the freedom-seeking people to make them jump into battle breaking the chains of subjugation.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow an address can awaken the whole nation, inspire them to leap into the War of Liberation for Independence, Bangabandhu\u2019s \u2018historic 7 March Speech\u2019 is a unique example,\u201d the head of the state observed.<\/p>\n
Realizing the significance of the speech, the UNESCO, included it in Memory of the World Register on October 30 in 2017, by giving the honor of World\u2019s Documentary Heritage, he added.<\/p>\n
